President Obama should now withdraw support for GZ Mosque

Imam Feisal Rauf Says That With Bin Laden Death Time to Heal; Freedom Watch Case Against GZ Mosque Proceeding

(New York, New York, May 5, 2011). Today, President Barack Obama will visit with 9/11 victims' families and lay a wreath at Ground Zero in the wake of the death of Osama Bin Laden. He and many Muslim leaders, in what is obviously a coordinated public relations effort, have called this a time to heal.

By giving Bin Laden a Shariah law Muslim burial at sea and by not releasing the photos of his demise, the President has shown great sensitivity to the Muslim culture and religion. Now is the time for the President to show similar sensitivity to those who died and were seriously injured at 9/11, and it is thus time for him to withdraw his support for the Ground Zero mosque.

Vinny Forras, the brave First Responder who almost died at 9/11 and who is fatally ill as a result of chemical and other poisoning, has brought a class action suit against the Ground Zero mosque and its Imam Rauf, in order to stop this new provocation from being built as planned. The case is not an attack on Islam, but rather is based primarily on a nuisance cause of action; namely that it will be a magnet for more terrorism in New York City. The prospect of more terrorism is particularly apparent, by the Obama administration's own admission, in retaliation for the death of Bin Laden.

Today, Vinny Forras and his lawyer Larry Klayman respectfully call upon President Obama to exhibit the same degree of courage he displayed in ordering the Bin Laden mission and withdraw his support for the Ground Zero mosque. To build this structure would not only heighten the risk of additional terrorism, but would open the wounds of 9/11. "If this is a time to heal, as both Imam Rauf and the President claim, then the Ground Zero mosque must not reopen the wounds of 9/11," stated Mr. Forras.

Klayman and First Responder Forras say nothing has changed and GZ mosque would open old wounds and case must proceed to stop it

(New York, New York, May 3, 2011). Larry Klayman, founder of Judicial Watch and Freedom Watch, and a former U.S. Senate candidate, today issued the following statement in the wake of Osama Bin Laden's death:

"Freedom Watch, my client Vinnie Forras, a brave First Responder who has sued the Ground Zero mosque and its Imam, and I salute the efforts of the American military to bring Osama Bin Laden to justice. These efforts were heroic! But the war on terrorism continues and Bin Laden's death is just one step along this long road to victory.

"Following Bin Laden's death, Vinnie and I were interested to see the response of Imam Rauf of the Ground Zero mosque, which we have sued to stop. Not surprisingly, it took Rauf, who has demonstrable ties to those supporting terrorism and who stated on CBS's '60 Minutes' that the United States was an accomplice to the attack, almost a day to make a statement. And, when Rauf did issue a statement, he suggested that the death of Bin Laden means that the 9/11 tragedy and war on terrorism are over, and that peace and healing must occur. Many radical Muslim states also suggested that the war on terrorism is no longer necessary; one such state was Iran, and Iran yesterday chided the United States to get out of the Middle East as a result.

"While this may sound good to some, the death of Bin Laden does not end the memory of 9/11 and the war on terrorism or relieve American Muslims from their duty to back it. Nor does it exonerate Rauf and his planned Ground Zero mosque from the terrorist threat this affront to the victims of 9/11 will cause again to New York City. Clearly, if there is a healing from the death of Bin Laden, as Rauf would like to spin for his own purposes, then building a mosque at Ground Zero would, at a minimum, open these wounds, even if it is not an instrumentality of terrorism.

"As late as yesterday, Rauf told various media organizations that he intends to proceed with the mosque. So where is this so-called healing from him and his 'friends.' Instead, he now wants to continue his psychological terrorism against the victims of 9/11.

"The war on terrorism continues and this success regarding Bin Laden is just a milestone along the way. Imam Rauf, not surprisingly, is spinning Bin Laden's death for his own nefarious purposes."

Answering the call continues to be the clarion call in the greatest nation on the face of God's green earth. Nearly ten years ago I along with my brothers and sisters answered the call on September 11th to Ground Zero. Through the horror of that cowardly attack orchestrated by a devil named Osama we came together in a way that highlighted the greatness of good people whose steps are guided by God. Yesterday, receiving the news from my US Marine son that "WE GOT HIM", Bin Laden was taken down sent chills up my spine and a wave of pride through my heart as our young warriors answered the call on behalf of all of us. My personal thoughts were, "It's disappointing that this devil can only die once as it would be more appropriate for his to die at least once for each innocent victim that he slaughtered.

Gear Up Foundation has been dedicated to answering the call in tribute to all of our loved ones who perished on 9/11 and all those who continue to make that ultimate sacrifice every day through our noble and charitable mission around the world. People fall into three categories of gut microbiota

Brussels, 20 April 2011 – Every person’s intestinal system falls into one of three clearly distinguishable types of gut microbiota, comparable to blood types. These types are not related to race, native country or diet, according to a new metagenomics study by an international consortium of scientists including Jeroen Raes, of the VIB and Vrije Universiteit Brussel, published in Nature. Metagenomics is the study of the genetic material of complete ecosystems, in this case the human gut.

“The three gut types can explain why the uptake of medicines and nutrients varies from person to person,” says bioinformatician Jeroen Raes of the VIB and Vrije Universiteit Brussel, one of the two lead researchers in the study. “This knowledge could form the basis of personalized therapies. Treatments and doses could be determined on the basis of the gut type of the patient.”

Improved knowledge of the gut types could also lead to other medical applications, such as the early diagnosis of intestinal cancer, Crohn’s disease and the adverse effects of obesity.

Three types of gut microbiota

The types of gut microbiota (called enterotypes) can be classified into three large, clearly distinguishable groups: Bacteroides, Prevotella and Ruminococcus. They are named for the bacteria that dominate the intestines of the respective groups. It is still unclear whether people can change from one group to another during their lives.

Research team

This research was conducted by Jeroen Raes of the VIB Department of Molecular and Cellular Interactions, Vrije Universiteit Brussel VIB and Manimozhiyan Arumugam of the European Molecular Biology Laboratory, under the direction of Dusko Ehrlich and Peer Bork of the MetaHIT consortium.

All activities were coordinated by local resident and co-founder, Monica Carrera who had a school named in her honor in Patricia Pilar Ec. During our visit 35 of the poorest fire departments across the country received life saving donations. A youth fire brigade was commissioned to honor the memory of Joey Lucisano, deceased son of Frank Lucisano.

Both US Senators from CT continue to work directly with Gear Up Foundation in support of this as well as future missions. Meetings with the Gear Up team and representatives of the President of Ecuador including a personal tour of the Presidential Palace were made during the visit.

(New York, New York). This Tuesday, April 5, 2011, Justice Lucy Billings will hold hearings in the Ground Zero Mosque case, which was filed by Vincent Forras, a First Responder on September 11, 2001. The lawsuit was filed on behalf of Mr. Forras by lawyer Larry Klayman, founder of Freedom Watch, and is a class action. It alleges that the planned mosque and its imams have ties to terrorist interests and that the project, called the Cordoba Project, represents a security threat to the neighborhood and New York City as a whole. Indeed, there have been numerous terrorist attacks at Ground Zero, in addition to the heinous attack of September 11.

Mr. Forras' lawsuit is based primarily on a nuisance legal theory and there is ample precedent to allow it to proceed. The case is not an attack on Islam, but the imam of the Ground Zero Mosque, Feisal Rauf, has in court pleadings branded Mr. Forras and Mr. Klayman as "enemies of Islam," in an effort to play the race card and to coerce them to drop the suit. This attack was then published worldwide in various internet and other media outlets, subjecting Mr. Forras and Mr. Klayman to great risk from radical Muslim extremists.

The hearing is primarily based on the Defendants' defense that First Amendment issues of free speech allow them to build the mosque at Ground Zero. However, Plaintiff contends that the First Amendment does not extend to national security issues. In this regard, Imam Rauf admitted on CNN at the outset of this controversy that if he does not get to build "his mosque" that there is a likelihood of radical Muslim terrorism at Ground Zero. This was a direct threat, in Plaintiff's opinion.

To be argued at the hearing on April 5, 2011, is Defendants' motion to dismiss and Plaintiff's cross motion for sanctions for Imam Rauf inciting violence in effect issuing a fatwah against Mr. Forras and Mr. Klayman.

The hearing promises to be very contentious. If the case proceeds, discovery will ensue of the Ground Zero Mosque and Imam Rauf, among others, and Plaintiff will be able to "follow the money trail" to presumed terrorist related interests who are believed to be financing the Ground Zero Mosque.

Iranians, Jews and Christians must unite!

The Iranian and Jewish experiences are not dissimilar. Both peoples have had their homelands seized or occupied by blood thirsty "invaders," and both peoples have spent many years living in exile around the world.

Before the creation of the state of Israel in 1948, Jews had no real centralized homeland or refuge in the event of another Holocaust, only their adopted countries in the United States, Europe, South America and elsewhere. Iranians, who like to call themselves Persians given the stigma associated with the current radical Islamic regime, do not have the luxury of a real homeland, as it is currently occupied and ruled by radical mullahs bent on the genocide of not only Jews and Christians, but any Iranian who dares to question their "authority" to impose Shariah law and further a Muslim revolution in the name of Allah. Thus, the Jewish and Iranian diasporas are not that dissimilar. Ironically, there is much overlap, as Persian Jews, for instance, account for a large portion of Iranians living in the United States in particular. Just one example they comprise much of the huge Iranian population in the Los Angeles area, which totals over 1 million inhabitants.

As I have discussed in many previous columns, the fate of the Iranian and Jewish people are closely tied, particularly at present. Israel is now on the verge of being totally surrounded by radical Arab states, which are the surrogates of the neo-Nazi Islamic regime in Tehran. And, Iran will soon have nuclear weapons, which it has pledged to use to wipe Israel off of the face of the earth. Were the Islamic regime in Iran to fall and become non-radicalized and secular, the "head of the snake" of terrorist interests in the Middle East would be decapitated, cutting off support and funding to such groups as the Muslim Brotherhood, Hezbollah and Hamas. But rather than pursuing this crucial objective, the American and European governments have elected instead to pick the low-hanging fruit and attempt, albeit belatedly and incompetently, to remove less formidable dictators in Iraq and Libya, for instance. The real "meat and potatoes" to Middle East stability and world peace Iran has been sidestepped by Obama and the European Union in a cowardly manner, for whatever dishonest or nefarious reasons.

Jews and Iranians, having been very successful in the United States, both financially and socially, have much political power to exert. Jews at least the non-leftist ones have sought in the past to use this political power and have succeeded in large part. Through lobbying and other means, in the past they have "convinced" most American lawmakers and government officials at least not to harm Israel. But now, with a President Barack Hussein Obama, who is a latent anti-Semite Israel hater, the task has become much more difficult. Obama and his compromised secretary of state, Hillary Clinton, have recently threatened Israel by stating that they, along with the "Quartet" which also is composed of the United Nations, Russia and the European Union will impose a Palestinian state on the Jewish nation, if it does not accede to Palestinian demands.

As for Iranian freedom, the "mullah in chief" would rather get down on his knees and beg for understanding and forgiveness of America from the Muslims in Tehran than take a strong stand and support the Iranian freedom movement. Why is it that the Obama administration is now apparently bent on arming the Libyan opposition, which many think contains al-Qaida operatives, but dares not utter a word about a similar "strategy" with the Iranian freedom movement which holds so much promise and is largely anti-Muslim? Is the Obama administration and Democratic Party also "on the take" from Iranian banks and other interests, as occurred with China during the reign of the Clintons in the 1990s?

I love my own people, and I love my Persian friends. Conservative Jews and evangelical Christians have been on the front lines in supporting Israel and the Iranian freedom movement although their support these days could be much stronger. But with few exceptions, the Persians living in the United States, particularly in the Los Angeles area, are more concerned with being part of the chic new generation culture than supporting their brothers and sisters who are fighting for freedom in their eventual homeland, and risking their fortunes, lives and sacred honor. Indeed, to most Persians living abroad and in the United States these days, the model of the car they drive, their fashionable clothing or their new cosmetic surgery is more important to them than freedom in Iran. While active on Facebook, it has become more of a dating service or therapeutic gossip rag than a real means to effect liberty for their people.

And the leftist liberal Jews in the United States and elsewhere are hardly different. They continue to disparage and castigate Israel, and many even support radical Palestinians and others bent on the destruction of the Jewish state. They do this in the name of "political correctness."

In effect, there are large elements of both the Iranian and Jewish diasporas who are self-hating or indifferent to the plight of their own people.

One such person is Mark Zuckerberg, the so-called founder of Facebook. Of course, Zuckerberg, who earlier this year was awarded with Time magazine's "Person of the Year," stole the concept of Facebook from his "friends," as recently depicted in the film "Social Network." His questionable ethics and moral underpinnings were recently on display again in the last few weeks, when he refused to remove a posting by radical Palestinians calling for the destruction of Israel. The page, called the "Third Intifada," also called for the murder of all Jews. It was only taken down belatedly after protests by many, including the Israeli government. I have sued Zuckerberg for the damage he furthered. Notably, it is clear that Zuckerberg wanted the page to remain active, as it increased the use of Facebook, thereby also increasing its net worth. Not coincidentally, Zuckerberg had been recently marketing Facebook, through the infamous Goldman Sachs, to foreign investors.

The enemy is thus not only radical Muslims bent on the destruction of the Jews, secular Iranians and Christians; the enemy is also from within.

Concerned Jews, Iranians and Christians must now redouble their efforts and unite, before all is lost!

Facebook faces accusation of facilitating Israel invasion

$1 billion damages sought for alleged death threats

Larry Klayman, founder of Freedom Watch, has announced that he has launched a lawsuit against Facebook and its founder, Mark Zuckerberg, for allegedly facilitating jihad against Israel.

It seeks damages of up to $1 billion.

WND reported earlier this week on strategies that were being developed on Facebook pages for thousands of people worldwide to "return" to the original homes of their families in "Palestine" on May 15.

It was explained in an in-depth report by L. Barkan, a research fellow at the Middle East Media Research Institute, which monitors and analyzes media reports throughout the Middle East. He reported the idea was being circulated "for millions of Palestinian refugees to march en masse in return to the original homes of their families in Israel."

The movement's plans call for this to be much more than just a visit, however.

"All the families of Jewish settlers in the Galilee area, including in the areas of Safed, Tiberias, and all the way down to Acre, must proceed to the port of Haifa and board ships back to their countries of origin in Europe," explained one posting that is part of the campaign.

Now Klayman, who explains he is of Jewish descent, said the campaign also has included "Third Intifada" pages "which threatened Jews in particular with death," which has made him a "target of this call to kill Jews."

"Over the course of the last week, defendants were asked to take this Third Intifada and related sites down, but refused," he told WND in a statement. "Only in the last few days did they do so, after increased pressure was exerted by the Israeli government.

"However, the damage had already been done and it is believed that this and other pages will soon reappear on Facebook" Klayman alleged.

The complaint alleges assault and negligence, including willful and wanton conduct, gross negligence and recklessness, "as it has put Mr. Klayman's life at risk."

"While Facebook has accomplished a lot of good, it can, as in this instance, be used for nefarious and evil purposes. Defendants Zuckerberg's and Facebook's callous and greedy actions in not taking down the page, but willfully allowing it to stay up for many days, has caused huge damage, for which they must be held accountable, so as to prevent this from ever happening again. They must be not only enjoined but also hit in their purse, which is where they understand matters best," said the statement from Klayman.

WND submitted an email request to Facebook for a comment, but did not get a response.

According to the complaint, prepared for the District of Columbia civil division, "Plaintiff has encountered the Facebook page titled 'Third Palestinian Intifada' This Intifada FB Page at all material times calls, and called for an uprising beginning on May 15, 2011, after Muslim prayers are completed, announcing and threatening that 'Judgment Day will be brought upon us only Once Muslims have killed all the Jews.'"

It explains, "This Intifada FB Page has had over 360,000 participants. According to reports, three similar FB Intifada pages have come up with over 7,000 subscribers. In the last days, the Public Diplomacy Minister of Israel, Yuli Edelstein, accurately stated in a letter to Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg that the Intifada FB Page featured 'wild incitement' with [a] call to kill Jews and talk of liberating Jerusalem through violence. He asked that Mark Zuckerberg and Facebook take down the page and similar and related pages, but defendants refused, obviously to boost Facebook's circulation and revenues, as this page created enormous controversy and thus viewership. It also resulted in Facebook adding large amount of additional users to its site, particularly in the Middle East and elsewhere."

The claim states, "Thus, the Intifada FB Page, and related and similar pages on Facebook openly advocate an intifada against and thus death to persons of Jewish origin."

The lawsuit explains two previous "intifadas" against Jews, one in 1987-1993, which resulted in the "civilian death toll of 164 Jews."

"The second occurred between 2000 and 2005 and resulted in the civilian death toll of 1,115 Jews," the complaint cites.

Klayman, a "public interest human, civil and individual rights activist," has been active in matters "concerning the security of Israel and all people," the case explains.

For example, he recently went to court over the issue of an Islamic mosque being constructed on one of the sites where wreckage from the jets used in the 9/11 terror attack in New York fell.

"In response, the imam of this mosque, Imam Feisal Rauf, effectively issued a fatwa against Mr. Klayman and his client, Vincent Forras, a famous and brave first responder who was buried under the rubble at Ground Zero on Sept. 11, 2001," the complaint alleges.

"Given the violent history of intifadas . the Intifada Facebook Page and other related and similar sites have caused plaintiff reasonable apprehension of severe bodily harm and/or death," it claims.

WND reported this week on the use of Facebook for the May 15 events. The MEMRI report documented how the social networking site pages provided instructions for others now in Israel to report to other ports all by the middle of March, a deadline long past, for departure.

"The message also warned that anyone trying to take 'archeological artifacts [or anything belonging] to the Palestinian heritage, even a single ball of falafel, will be pursued and arrested by Interpol in his new place of residence,'" the MEMRI report said.

According to MEMRI, some of the Facebook pages "stress that the activities are meant to be peaceful and unarmed, while others hint at violence and armed resistance."

"It also has gained the support of Palestinian officials, through the PLO Department of Expatriate Affairs which has called on Palestinians living abroad to participate in the march and to publicize it among the Palestinian communities and organizations worldwide," the MEMRI report said.

Timetables to coordinate the events have been posted by administrators who explain it is the moral and legal right of refugees to return to their homes.

One page, "The 2011 March of Return," said, "The goal of [the Facebook] group is to organize a march of millions, who, on May 15, 2011, will realize the Right of Return to Palestine in deed as well as in word."

It explains marchers will come from Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Egypt, the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.

"The Right of Return is a legal, political, human, moral, and religious right that is irrevocable and unlimited in time, and all must work toward realizing it. We call for the realization of this right through the mass return of millions of Palestinians to historical Palestine, such that every refugee and displaced person will return to his land and to the home from which he was expelled. This will be the first step toward implementing Resolution 194, which will be followed by further steps, such as awarding reparations to the returned refugees and recognizing heir rights," the site advocates.

MEMRI documents that a page titled, "The Palestinian Refugees' Revolution (The Advance of the Millions)," warned, "We will reach out our hand and build a bridge that will bring us to our green land, to our territorial waters, to the beautiful Mediterranean Sea, to our desert ... to the beautiful Galilee, to Jerusalem, our proud capital, to the neighborhoods of Nablus, Ramallah, and Jenin, to the hills of Lod and Ramla, and to all the [other] places ... We will return, and soon. Long live our cause. May the state of the sons of Zion fall."

Also, on the page called "The Third Palestinian Intifada" was the warning there could be violence.

"After the Tunisian, Egyptian, and Libyan intifadas, the time has come for the Palestinian intifada. The first Palestinian intifada was in 1987 and the second in 2000, but the third Palestinian intifada [will commence] on May 15, 2011," it said, according to MEMRI's documentation.

"It should be noted that, while urging the public to join the mass demonstrations on May 15, the page administrators also hinted at a coming war on the Jews and called on the readers to prepare for martyrdom," Barkan's report confirmed.

"For example, they posted a well-known hadith, which states that the Day of Judgment will only come after the Muslims fight the Jews and vanquish them: 'The hour [of Judgment] will not come before the Muslims fight the Jews and kill them.'"

Another message on the page states, "Paradise calls you. I ask everyone to come out on May 15. Do not say 'I can't.' For once [in your life], at least, do something to help the Muslims ... martyrdom calls you."

Another page posted the plans: "On Sunday, May 15, after the noon prayers, 'the holy advance will start and the Intifada will be ignited... On this day, all the returning [refugees] will set forth, and the Third Palestinian Intifada will commence, with the support of all the free people in the world.'"

The page lists the destinations of the march: In the West Bank, participants will march on the checkpoints and settlements; in Gaza, on the checkpoints and border crossings; within "the 1948 territories," toward cities and villages destroyed in the 1948 war; in Lebanon, toward Palestine by land and by sea; in Jordan, toward three areas on the border; in Syria, towards the Golan border; in Egypt, toward the Rafah border and toward the coast of Palestine by ship.

May 15 was picked, the pages explain, because it is the 63rd anniversary of the founding of Israel in 1948.

Judicial and Freedom Watch Founder Alleges Misuse of "Social Network" In Threatening Jews with Death For Profit

(Washington, D.C., March 31, 2011). Larry Klayman, the founder of Judicial Watch and Freedom Watch, and a U.S. Senate candidate in 2004, today filed suit against the "founder" of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg and Facebook itself for their role in furthering a radical Palestinian page called "Third Intifada," which threatened Jews in particular with death. Mr. Klayman, who is of Jewish origin, is a prominent public interest advocate and as Chairman of Judicial Watch and now Freedom Watch has pursued court cases and other activities that involve radical Palestinians. He is also known to be a strong supporter of Israel, and has been called a "Zionist" publicly by radical Palestinians and other such Arabic interests. Mr. Klayman is thus a target of this call to kill Jews.

Over the course of the last week, Defendants were asked to take this Third Intifada and related sites down, but refused. Only in the last few days did they do so, after increased pressure was exerted by the Israeli government.

However, the damage had already been done and it is believed that this and other pages will soon reappear on Facebook.

As alleged in the complaint, one can explain the initial refusal to take down the page as an effort by the Zuckerberg and Facebook to increase the social network's net worth based on viewership and use. It is not in dispute that Facebook has profited handsomely by the turmoil in the Middle East.

The complaint alleges assault and negligence, including willful and wanton conduct, gross negligence and recklessness on the part of the Defendants, as it has put Mr. Klayman's life at risk, as well as other similarly situated Jews who are prominent public figures and otherwise. The complaint reserves the right to be amended into a class action suit and prays for compensatory and punitive damages in excess of $1 Billion Dollars.

Libya: Wrong country, wrong war!

In the last few weeks in particular, American foreign policy has never looked worse. To describe it as the "Keystone Cops of Diplomacy and War-Making" would be too charitable. The fault lies not just with President Barack Hussein Obama, our obsessively pro-Arab and pro-Muslim president, or Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, his easily compromised sidekick, but also with the inert and incompetent Republican political establishment. Here are just a few of their glaring mistakes, not only with regard to Libya but the entire Middle East.

First, as I have said many times in recent columns, the United States has taken its "eye off of the ball." Israel and Iran are the key to Middle East stability and the potential for peace in the region. Israel, of course, is our only Westernized ally in this part of the world; it shares our Judeo-Christian heritage and is a buffer to the Islamic radicalization now under way to an even greater extent in the Middle East. It needs to be protected and cherished, not disparaged and threatened for not rolling over and ceding to the demands of the Palestinians. While Obama and Clinton have recently told Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu that he must essentially accede to these Palestinian demands for a state along the lines they propose, or risk having borders imposed on it in the near future, where are the Republicans in the defense of the Jewish state? You do not hear any loud screams coming out of them on Capitol Hill. They are inert and preoccupied primarily with their so-called budget issues, where they have failed to get anything meaningful accomplished.

As for Iran, rather than committing valuable American resources to questionable adventures like Libya, the United States should be doing everything possible to overthrow the mullahs in Tehran. If they fall, and Iran becomes a secular state, then any nuclear weapons in the possession of this non-Arab Persian state, now or in the future, will at least likely be controlled by rational persons. And, an end to the neo-Nazi Islamic regime which executes the opposition at a rate now exceeding one every eight hours and admits to wanting to kill all Jews and Christians would end Iran's terrorist support of Hamas in Gaza, Hezbollah in Lebanon and other radical groups throughout the Middle East and the world, including here in the United States.

To hear Obama and Clinton try to justify their intervention in Libya as a humanitarian issue was particularly insulting, especially to Iranians who yearn to be free and have been fighting for their freedom, with greater geo-political stakes, far longer than the Libyans. What we have seen in Iran is an ongoing genocide of students and others in the opposition, for which I have filed suit in Washington, D.C., federal court for crimes against humanity. But a court case is far from enough. Why have at least three successive American administrations, comprised of both political parties, ignored and appeased Iran for decades, when it is the key to restructuring the Middle East, removing the nuclear threat and stopping the Islamic revolution in its tracks? The negligence if charitably you can call it that borders on the criminal.

Second, even assuming that Libya is an important "adventure" and conceding that multilateral action may be preferable, multilateralism is not worthwhile when it delays action, which if taken quickly can change the balance of power, save lives and also be effective. President George W. Bush made this mistake with Iraq, when for at least nine months he waited to remove Saddam Hussein and asked for United Nation approval and support, but got none. In the end, his dithering and waiting likely gave Hussein time to hide or destroy his weapons of mass destruction and Bush to save face when none were then found sought to disingenuously justify the costly war as an effort to create democracy in this essentially autocratic and factionalized state, run in large part by Muslim terrorist militias in the wake of Saddam's removal. To date, nine years later, there is no real democracy in Iraq; only mostly radical Shiite factions loyal to the mullahs in Iran, not the United States. These factions themselves are on the verge of yet another civil war in the Middle East.

Similarly, Obama's effort to get NATO and other Arab states on board for his Libyan campaign which he never really wanted in the first place but was forced on him politically by the perception, if not reality, that he has shown indecisiveness in foreign affairs delayed removing Gadhafi when he was weak and easier to remove in the early days of the civil war. With the administration's new and contrived goal of merely stopping bloodshed to the Libyan opposition, Obama has sown the seeds for a divided Libya now that Gadhafi has regained the upper hand and a protracted war that accomplishes nothing, just as we have seen in Iraq, is likely. Again, where has the Republican establishment in Congress been in taking a lead or even having a real voice here? It knew or should have known where Obama and his secretary of state were taking us. To hear their screams and political hackery now are hypocrisy and dishonesty at its worst.

The situation in the Middle East is not a game show! Nor should it be driven by television commentators on Fox News or MSNBC and the failed politicians they call consultants. It is serious business.

What we have "accomplished" in the Middle East in the last many weeks, months and years is frightening, and if American foreign policy and war-making continues along these lines, it will not simply be a question of poor foreign relations. As the price of oil spikes higher due to the mess furthered by the U.S. government establishment, and as Americans lose more of their hard-earned income to higher gas prices during what is in effect a continuing economic depression, the cost of having Keystone Cops in charge will become increasingly apparent.

The 2012 election is likely to be driven not just by domestic but also world politics. Our next president must have both credentials and, as importantly, be honest, competent, have a logical world vision and be strong and principled. Certainly, no one in either political party qualifies at this time. The future is not bright.

Dental bib chains potential source of infection

Most of us never would use wet towels left in the gym, nor tissues left by someone suffering from a nasty cold. We'd probably call Housekeeping if we discovered a used toothbrush in our hotel room. But we don't ever worry about the bib chains in the dentist's office. Noel Kelsch, a national infection control columnist, registered dental hygienist and former president of the California Dental Hygienists' Association, studied various dental chains and clips after seeing "stuff" falling off a chain she had planned to use to protect her uniform at lunch. What she found led her to pen a column titled, "Don't Clip that Crud on Me," for RDH Magazine, a trade publication for dental hygienists. Her findings echoed a study conducted by the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's School of Dentistry Oral Microbiology Lab.

"Yesterday, because of the failure of President Obama to confront Iran's hegemony and expansion of its radical Islamic sphere of power in the Middle East, King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia, in conjunction with his Arab Gulf Cooperation Council partners, invaded Bahrain to head off an overthrow of its government by extremist Shiites loyal to the radical mullahs in Tehran. Preceded Threats Against Rep. Peter King Over Muslim Hearings; Evidences a Pattern of Intimidation

Representative Peter King's hearings today on "homegrown" Muslim extremism resulted in death threats against the New York Congressman, who has been courageous in his search for a candid dialogue on this issue. But King is not the only person who has sought to use legitimate legal means to address the issue of Muslim extremism and collaboration with terrorist interests in the United States.

In October of last year, Vincent Forras, with the assistance of Larry Klayman, founder of Judicial Watch and Freedom Watch, brought a simple "nuisance" lawsuit in the lower court in Manhattan to have the so-called Ground Zero mosque stopped. Mr. Forras is a highly decorated First Responder who was buried under the rubble at Ground Zero immediately after the attack on 9/11 and nearly died. The plans for the Ground Zero mosque not only caused him, and other members in this class action lawsuit, great emotional distress, but the mosque itself presents a new security threat to the neighborhood, which has been attacked numerous times, not just on 9/11. Even President Obama and Attorney General Holder have admitted to this, and as a result agreed to move the criminal trial of the mastermind of 9/11, Kahlid Sheik outside of Ground Zero, which is where the federal courthouse is located. And, the Ground Zero mosque Imam Faisal Rauf stated on CNN that if he does not get to build his mosque, that more terrorism is likely there.

After the suit against the Ground Zero mosque was filed, its Imam Faisal Rauf filed pleadings with the court that attacked Mr. Forras and his counsel, Larry Klayman of Freedom Watch, as enemies of Islam and as neo-Nazis and then published this to the world in the New York Post and other media. Coming from a Muslim clergy, this was tantamount to telling the Islamic world to harm or kill Mr. Forras and his counsel. Simon Rushtie, and recently executed Christian politicians in Pakistan have been threatened or killed under similar circumstances. Larry Klayman, the founder of Judicial Watch and Freedom Watch, today issued the following statement on the failure of Republicans to extract large budget cuts from the Democrats and Obama administration, instead settling for only $4 billion in exchange for a stop gap emergency bill allowing the government to stay in operation.

"The past is a prologue. Fearful that President Obama and the Democrats will feed Republicans their lunch if the government is shut down - as the President Bill Clinton did with then House Speaker Newt Gingrich in the 1990s - the current Republican House Speaker Boehner caved and agreed to only $4 billion in budget cuts, most of which had been previously proposed by Obama, to temporarily keep the government operating.

This latest 'compromise' by Republicans, who have claimed that they are more 'principled,' signals to the Obama administration and the Democrats that the Republican Party can be 'rolled,' and will never use the threat seriously of a government shut down to push through needed serious budget cutting.

One of the reasons that Obama was elected president is a perception by the American people that the Republican Party likes to play games, but is not serious. House Speaker John Boehner, his boyish sidekick, Eric Cantor, and their minions, have no 'balls' and it is now clear that little has changed in Congress. Freedom Watch Advocates Quick and Decisive Action in Middle East

(Washington, D.C., February 24, 2011). Today, Larry Klayman, the founder of Judicial Watch and Freedom Watch and former candidate for the U.S. Senate in Florida, issued the following statement in the wake of the crisis in the Middle East:

"With the explosive upheavals in Libya, and Egypt, Yemen, Bahrain, Morocco and elsewhere throughout the Middle East, and the threat of even greater geo-political instability, the price of oil has skyrocketed, with no end in sight. This aftershock, exacerbated by the threat that Libyan oil, which accounts for over 2 percent of world supplies, will be cut off, and the provocative actions of the Iranians in moving warships through the Suez Canal, as well as other events, has caused and will cause oil and other economic markets to go into severe decline, thus putting the world in danger of not only a prolonged economic recession, but now severe depression.

Thus far, the Obama administration - by all accounts - has been in disarray and slow to react to events. Moreover, while having called for regime change in Egypt, it has failed to do so or even take other strong meaningful action with the two most despotic regimes in the Middle East; Libya and Iran.

Before the world cascades into an economic abyss, its time for both the United States and its allies to secure vital assets in the Middle East.

With regard to Libya, the Obama administration and the European Union, should immediately send troops into Libya to secure its oil fields. If these oil fields cease producing petroleum supplies or worse are destroyed, the effect on the world economy will be devastating.

And, now that Egypt, post President Mubarak, is not only signaling that it may well no longer honor its peace treaty with Israel, and for the first time in 30 years has allowed Iranian warships to cross the Suez Canal - which amounts to a severe threat to Israel - the Jewish state must now seriously consider taking control of the Suez Canal and reclaiming the Sinai to assure that the Suez Canal is not closed and falls into the "wrong" hands. Israel must act alone in this, as the Obama administration has been not only hostile to Israeli security interests (i.e., by "inviting" the Muslim Brotherhood, which is pro-Iranian, into Egypt's government), but can no longer be counted upon as an ally - having already thrown Egyptian President Mubarak to the wolves, while saying nothing about regime change in Iran - a radical Islamic terrorist-designated state that has pledged to wipe Israel of the face of the earth. Nor has it called for the removal of Colonel Gaddafi in Libya, another sworn enemy of Israel.

Its time not for more talk by Obama and others, but action - to avoid worldwide economic collapse and potential catastrophe. And, Israel must now seriously consider acting alone to protect its own proper interests, as neither the Obama administration nor the Europeans can be counted upon."

Sam Houston State joins on-line learning consortium

HUNTSVILLE, TX -Sam Houston State University has joined a consortium with 10 other universities in a collaborative effort to improve and implement high quality, large-scale online and blended learning programs.

Sam Houston State offers more than a dozen complete graduate programs online, including the MBA, an Executive MBA, teacher certification and master's in criminal justice leadership and management designed exclusively for military police officers.

Sam Houston State associate vice president for SHSU Online Bill Angrove said he and others at SHSU are delighted to join the group, the New Century Learning Consortium.

"The university recognizes the need for inter-institutional cooperation. We are very interested in efforts to promote degree completion and faculty exchange," he said.

The Consortium was founded at The University of Illinois Springfield.

"We are pleased to have Sam Houston State University join the New Century Learning Consortium. This award-winning university has been recognized by Princeton Review and PC Magazine as one of the "Most Wired" colleges in the nation. Founded in 1879, SHSU brings a long tradition of excellence in education to the consortium," said Shari McCurdy Smith, NCLC director and associate director of the Center for Online Learning, Research, and Service at UIS.

The consortium plans to expand to 14 institutions by May, she said.

Consortium activities include developing a clearinghouse of online classes where there is excess capacity; shared research projects; shared IT expertise to support building infrastructure capacity; and peer support at the upper administration, dean, and faculty member levels. NCLC was founded using a grant from the Sloan Consortium, who is also funding for the expansion.

"Sam Houston State University has an outstanding online learning program, said Ray Schroeder, founder of NCLC. "We are excited that SHSU will bring their leadership and experience."

Current members are University of Illinois Springfield; California State University East Bay, Hayward; Southern Oregon University, Ashland; Chicago State University, Illinois; Oakland University, Rochester Hills, Michigan; University of Southern Maine, Portland; Louisiana Tech University, Ruston; SUNY Empire State College, Saratoga Springs; Hampton University, Hampton, Virginia; and the University of Minnesota, Crookston.

Bush's-Democrat's Incompetence Not Iraq Primarily Responsible for Upheavals - Western Countries Next to See "Revolution"

(Washington, D.C., February 22, 2011). Today, Larry Klayman, the founder of Judicial Watch and Freedom Watch, and a former U.S. Senate candidate in Florida, issued the following statement on events in the Middle East and around the world:

"In the months after the Iraq war began, when the administration of President George W. Bush failed to find weapons of mass destruction in Iraq as it has predicted, the government had to come up with another 'reason' to justify the invasion. Instead, the President then declared that the primary rationale for the war was to lay the seed of democracy in the Middle East - so called "nation building," which of course W. has denounced as a foreign policy during the run up to the 2000 presidential elections. In recent weeks, with the fall of the heads of state in Egypt and Tunisia and the rise of so called freedom movements in Libya, Yemen, Jordan and Bahrain, Bush sycophants and cronies have boasted that W.'s Iraq war was the primary trigger - suggesting that events are "for the best."

It is clear however, in retrospect, that Bush's Iraq war did not unleash the forces of so called democracy in Arab countries - particularly since there is no real democracy in Iraq even now - but instead the severe state of their economies. When the large majority of the population is unemployed and cannot even provide for themselves or their families, people take to the streets. In the words of the famous song written by Kris Kristofferson and sung by Janis Joplin, "Freedom is just another word for nothing left to lose."

Thus, Bush's and the Democrat Congress's own neglect of Wall Street, the housing and real estate markets, and financial centers - all of which collapsed under a mountain of corruption in 2008, leading to a worldwide near depression - created the after-shock that what is primarily responsible for bringing the masses to revolt. And, this revolt is not limited to the Arab world, as Americans are experiencing in Wisconsin and other venues around the United States. Revolution is on the horizon in western countries as well, as civil disobedience in Europe, as in Britain, has also signaled.

The bottom line is that governments around the world have failed to represent the interests of their people, and the extreme events in the Middle East are a stark reminder that even Arab countries, with no history of democracy and living under autocratic dictatorial regimes, will rise up, as "freedom is just another word for nothing left to lose."

But the tragedy is that these Arab states are not likely to implement true democracies, but instead have newly installed governments taken over, as occurred in Iran over 30 years ago, with radical muslim terrorist related interests, such as the Muslim Brotherhood. Bush's so called legacy of democracy is thus faux.

As for the United States and other western countries, their governments are in jeopardy of falling, first at the ballot box and then potentially by other means, if the economy does not significantly improve in the near term.

Republicans silent as Middle East burns

We all know where the "mullah in chief," President Barack Hussein Obama, stands on Israel and the Middle East four square with the previous "idiot in chief," former President Jimmy Carter. Like Carter, who believes in the "innocence of strangers" like the Muslim Brotherhood, Hamas and Hezbollah terror groups that in Jimmy's senile anti-Semitic mind he thinks are fellow "democrats" Obama's pro-Muslim inclinations lead him to ignore the freedom movement in Iran, which is largely secular, and work against the Jewish state, Israel, the only true democracy in the Middle East.

Indeed, while quick to push Egypt's former President Hosni Mubarak out the door and open it up for the Muslim Brotherhood, Obama and his secretary of state, Hillary Clinton, made scant mention of the demonstrations in Iran this week, saying only that they wished the mullahs who are executing the opposition at a rate of one every nine hours would honor universal concepts of freedom of speech. Nothing was said about so-called "regime change," which they were quick to advocate with Egypt. And when, in the last days, the neo-Nazi Islamic Iranian regime expressed its intention to send warships into the Suez Canal zone at Israel's doorstep which is more than even a provocation, but a virtual act of war what did Obama and Ms. Hillary say about that? Nada, rien, zero, nothing! And, to top it all off, there is the administration's desire, for the first time in U.S. history, to soon support a new but retooled United Nations resolution condemning Israeli settlements on its West Bank land God gave to the Jewish people and which they reclaimed at the cost of Hebrew blood in the 1967 war.

Get the picture? Israel and a free Iran, which would be a natural ally of Israel and the West, get urinated on, while so called democracy movements in Arab states like Yemen, Bahrain, Tunisia and Libya which are likely to turn to radical Islam in time if their current rulers are deposed get direct or tacit administration support.

Here, however, are the facts of life in the Holy Land.

Israel the cradle of Judeo-Christian civilization, steeped in Western values and ideals and loyal to the United States is so vital to American interests that it must not be abandoned and thrown to rabid Arab designs for its extinction. Israel is on the verge of becoming totally isolated and surrounded, even more so than before its war of independence in 1948, with neighbors bent on its destruction. Its continued existence is in great doubt if it is not strongly supported by the United States.

In the context of this geo-political milieu and Obama's hostility to Judeo-Christian interests in the Middle East, one would think that the Republican Party the professed champion of freedom, religious rights and democracy would step in and at least come to Israel's moral defense. But instead, what we have seen in recent weeks are so-called prominent establishment Republicans like Sen. John McCain and former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani not only supporting the administration's handling of the Egyptian crisis, but saying nothing otherwise. Where, too, are establishment hacks Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell and Speaker of the House John Boehner at this time of need? Nowhere! Instead, they are totally engrossed in their "budget battles" with Democrats political skirmishing that if the past is a prologue will be more positioning for the 2012 elections than in the end a real and successful effort to bring down the perilous budget deficit.

With the exception of the German Marshall Plan after World War II and President Ronald Reagan's successful dismantling of the Soviet Empire, the United States has had scant foreign-policy successes in the last half of the 20th century and the first decade of the 21st. The reality is that our leaders are woefully uneducated about the rest of the world, and they have a penchant for ignoring crises before they turn cancerous. To be blunt, our foreign-policy establishment sucks! The stupid and costly war in Iraq, now going on its ninth year at the great cost of American lives, money and prestige, is just the latest example. Here, our "leaders" succeeded in simply having radical Shiites loyal to the mullahs in Tehran declared democrats, with a small "d," through phony elections. And, when our troops leave, as they surely must, no crowing over the success of Bush's military "surge" will make any difference. Iraq will revert even more to its past, and the waste in American lives and finances will become even more apparent. Ditto for Afghanistan and Pakistan other Middle Eastern and Central Asian foreign-policy disasters on the horizon.

So with this bleak a picture in sight, why are the Republicans, the so-called opposition party, not speaking out and being heard? Why are they not pushing Obama and Clinton to protect our one ally in the Middle East, Israel? Is this a virtual replay of the President George W. Bush years, another uneducated idiot albeit a right-wing one that left the world and our domestic economy in virtual ruins.

The Middle East, so vital to our national interests, so rich in energy and geographical significance to the defense of the Western world, is hanging in the balance.

And while Israel is being left to hang out to dry, the Republican Party is giving President Barack Hussein Obama free reign to, in his own clever way, fatally harm our ally and pave the way for radical Islamic domination over the entire region.

Shame on you, Republicans! You may not be pro-Islam like the mullah in chief, but, with your inaction, you are certainly furthering his anti-Judeo-Christian designs and endangering Israel, the United States and the entire Western world in the process.

Like Obama and his Democrats, Republicans should be prepared to pay a price in 2012. We Americans just hope there is a price to be paid by then, before the Middle East collapses under Islamic rule, the price of oil skyrockets and the world goes to economic and geopolitical hell in a hand basket.
