GEAR UP FOUNDATION ANSWERS THE CALL ONCE AGAIN. MEMBERS OF 9/11 CHARITY FOUNDATION TO DONATE IN EXCESS OF $500,000.00 IN LIFE-SAVING FIREFIGHTING GEAR TO ECUADOR IN TRIBUTE TO THOSE WHO LOST THEIR LIVES ON SEPTEMBER 11TH, 2001, NEARLY 10 YEARS AGO.
 
(March 22, 2011, NEW YORK) – Born from the ashes after the attacks of September 11th, Gear Up Foundation was formed as a living memorial to all those who perished on 9/11 and those who continue to die from their exposures on site. To date, Gear Up Foundation has delivered millions of dollars in equipment and training around the world in tribute to and as a legacy to those who answered the call to serve. We, through the international brotherhood inspired by firefighters act as Ambassadors of Goodwill bringing our world together because of the tragedy of 9/11.
 
Gear Up Co-Founder Vincent Forras will be joined by its President, Chief Paul Nelson, and representatives in Ecuador at a historic ceremony in Guayaquil Ecuador at the Salon de La Ciudad, Town Hall of Guayaquil on Friday, April 1st at 5PM. Our guest list includes US Ambassador Heather Hodges, US Consul General, Mayor of Guayaquil many VIP's and firefighters from 35 of the poorest provinces around the country. US Senators Blumenthal and Lieberman are working closely with Gear Up Foundation in support of this historic mission. Meetings have already been confirmed for the Gear Up team with the President of Ecuador and other high ranking government and business representatives.
 
Stay tuned for a major announcement concerning the 10th anniversary memorial plans to donate in excess of 1 million dollars in fire gear to a "Muslim" country to highlight this special land called America and those who believe that the events of 9/11 inspired many to do incredible things around the world in tribute to our loved ones lost.
